2009 PHOTO SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
PHOTO SUBMISSIONS DEADLINE June 15, 2008
Photos are reviewed as they arrive and early submission improves chance of selection.
COPYRIGHTS AND PERMISSIONS
• Photographs are accepted from amateur and professional photographers.
• The photographer must hold the copyright to all photos he or she submits.
• Photographs that violate the laws of copyright will be disqualified.
• The use of public domain images is prohibited.
• Photographers retain ownership of all copyrights.
• By submitting an image to Northeast Ohio Weather Calendar™, you hereby grant permission and rights to store, display, and use the image, its thumbnails, and your name as the photographer, on any of the Northeast Ohio Weather Calendar™ web sites and in any of its advertising or promotional materials both printed and on-line. Use of photograph is granted without compensation.
• A copyright symbol with the photographers name will appear on or near each calendar image.
• Photographs that include sculptures, statues, paintings, and other works of art will be accepted as long as they do not constitute copyright infringement or fraud.
• Photographers must have sufficient permission of any recognizable models or other persons appearing in the photograph.
IMAGE SUBMISSIONS
INITIAL SUBMISSIONS ARE DONE OVER THE INTERNET
E-mail a low-res version (under one megabyte) in jpeg format—

• Attach only one photograph per e-mail
• In the subject line type the month the photo was taken.
• In your email letter include the following information in the order given below
description of subject, location and nearest city or town
original format: slide, negative or digital camera?
If digital, how many megapixel camera or image's original file size
photographer's name
email address
phone number
street address
city, state, zip
A maximum of 30 images per photographer may be submitted.
If a higher resolution image is needed for further evaluation, you will be contacted. Before an image is accepted for the 2009 calendar, we will request a high resolution file, slide or negative to review for quality. Only slides and negatives will be returned to photographers.
DESIRABLE SUBJECT MATTER
Landscapes, wildlife, cities, mammals, flowers, insects, weather scenes, storms, dramatic skies, clouds, sunsets, atmospheric phenomena, seasonal themes - and any other excellent quality images that you believe represent the natural surroundings, climate, and culture of the region.
IN NO EVENT SHALL PECHACEK CORP, WKYC-TV 3, THEIR PARENTS, SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, AGENTS, CO-BRAND PARTNERS, LICENSORS, CONTRACTORS, OR EMPLOYEES HAVE ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY LOSS, EXPENSE, DAMAGE OR COST, WHETHER BASED ON BREACH OF CONTRACT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY RESULTING FROM MISPLACEMENT, LOSS, DAMAGE, DESTRUCTION OR ANY OTHER ADVERSE CONSEQUENCE TO SLIDES, PHOTOGRAPHS, FILM, DATA AND/OR OTHER MATERIALS THAT YOU SUBMIT.
